The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies would like to express their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of David Grimmond who has passed away at the age of 80.

Wallaby number 494, Grimmond was a St. Edmund's and Queanbeyan Whites product known for his electric speed on the wing and remarkable defence. In 1964 he played at all levels of the game from the Whites to internationally, making his Wallabies debut against New Zealand in Christchurch.

A family man and husband of 55 years, Grimmond's son David also carried on his rugby legacy playing for the ACT & Canberra Kookaburras, in addition to representing Australia in the 7s.

David Grimmond's dedication to his beloved Queanbeyan side will be sorely missed, though his legacy and impact at all levels of rugby will undoubtedly live on.
