A product of the Brumbies pathways program, Reimer made his Super Rugby debut in 2021 against the Western Force and has made 13 appearances to date.

Reimer joined the Brumbies after a successful season with the Warringah Rats in the Shute Shield, earning a place in the senior squad last year having impressed for the Brumbies Runners and with Wests in the Bentspoke John I Dent Cup.

Brumbies backrower, Luke Reimer said: “I’m humbled to be able to continue my career in Canberra with the Brumbies.”

“Earning a few more minutes this season has been awesome, and I know that I’ll have to keep performing every day to keep earning those opportunities.

“The Brumbies have looked after me and my development since I came down from Sydney, and I’ve really enjoyed my time so far, so it was an easy decision to stay.”

Reimer’s re-signing will add to the Brumbies backrow depth and continuity with Rob Valetini, Jahrome Brown, Rory Scott and Pete Samu all committed for next season.

Brumbies head coach, Dan McKellar: “It’s great for the Brumbies to have another quality backrower re-sign with the club.”

“Luke has developed really well in our program and has improved immeasurably in all areas as a professional, on and off the field.

“He’s a talented footballer and he has that natural ability to put his head into rucks and come away with turnovers, and with more time in the Brumbies program he’ll only continue to get better.”

The Brumbies will take on the Blues in round 14 of Harvey Norman Super Rugby Pacific at GIO Stadium, Canberra on Saturday May 21 at 7.45pm AEST.
