Nine Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies players have been selected to don the gold this Saturday as the Wallaroos take on Fiji in Suva.

With five returnees to the Australian side, four women from the Capital have also been named for the first time with Katalina Amosa named to start at hooker, while Martha Fua, Ashley Fernandez and Tia Hinds have all been named on the bench for potential debuts.

Brumbies captain Siokapesi Palu will lead out the side as captain for the opening Test of 2025.

Amosa's call-up will see her and Brandon become the latest brother-sister duo to play for Australia in 15s, a group that includes current RA President Kristy and Wallabies legend Matt Giteau.

Bree-Anna Browne and Emily Chancellor make their returns to the national team after long-term knee injuries kept them out last year.

"Every player in line for a debut is deserving of their opportunity and this Test match will allow us to see some new combinations," coach Yapp said.

"There are plenty of inspiring stories with the new players coming in, as well as some who are returning from long term injury."

Meanwhile, Bienne Terita makes her first appearance for the Wallaroos since the 2022 World Cup, shifting into the centres for Georgina Friedrichs (finger).

Siokapesi Palu will skipper the side for this Test and the Pacific Four series, with Chancellor named as vice-captain.

"Siokapesi will lead us for this match and the Pacific Four series and the leadership group and players will support her," Yapp added.

"Fijiana will provide us with a huge challenge in their own country. The fan support will be on their side and we look forward to playing them here in Suva for the first time."
