The ACT Brumbies Super Rugby Women can confirm an additional trial fixture as part of its preparation for the 2026 Swyftx Super W season, adding a third hit-out to its pre-season campaign.

The Brumbies will now face the Western Force Women’s side on 23 May at Brumbies HQ, providing another opportunity for the squad to test combinations ahead of the competition proper.

The fixture adds to an already strong trial schedule, which includes matches against the Queensland Reds on 17 May at Brumbies HQ and the NSW Waratahs on 30 May at GIO Stadium.

Brumbies players and staff have welcomed the additional contest, noting the importance of consistent game time against established rivals as the group sharpens its systems and integration ahead of the season.

“These three trials give us a great opportunity to build cohesion, test combinations, and continue developing our brand of Brumbies rugby in a competitive environment,” Head Coach James Erwin said.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the Force and seeing our group take another step forward across May.”

The additional Force clash rounds out a comprehensive preparation block against three of the competition’s leading sides, with all eyes now on building cohesion and momentum through May.
