The wait is over. The 2026 Swyftx Super Rugby Women’s draw is officially locked in, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the ACT Brumbies.

Determined to bounce back from a challenging 2025 campaign, the squad is preparing to climb back up the ladder.

This season features two Sunday afternoon home clashes at Viking Park, bookended by an opening round match in Brisbane and an international trip across the Pacific to face the Drua in Fiji.

James Erwin, Head of Women’s Rugby for the Brumbies, believes the 2026 schedule provides the perfect platform for the squad to push back into the SRW Finals.

“The group got a lot right on the field in 2025, which is why 11 Brumbies were selected for the Rugby World Cup in England,” said Erwin.

“As Brumbies, we pride ourselves on supporting athletes to perform on the international stage, and the experience those players gained from the World Cup is invaluable. They’ve brought a world-class standard back into our training environment which will elevate the entire squad for this season’s competition.”

“We are also excited to host our home fixtures on Sunday afternoons at Viking Park, giving our fans the opportunity to come out and support the team throughout the 2026 campaign,” he added.

The Brumbies will launch their 2026 campaign on the road, taking on the Queensland Reds in Brisbane.

The action then shifts to Viking Park in Canberra for a Round 2 blockbuster against traditional rivals, the NSW Waratahs.

In Round 3, the team will travel to Nadi, Fiji, to face the formidable Drua women’s side on their home turf.

“Travelling to Nadi is always a unique challenge,” Erwin said of the international trip.

“It’s a tough environment, but matches against the Drua consistently produce high-quality rugby and we enjoy the opportunity to get over to Fiji.”

Following a Round 4 bye, the Brumbies will close out the regular season at home in front of their fans against the Western Force.

Each match will be crucial as the team looks to secure a place in the three-week finals series, which begins in mid-July.

The 2026 campaign will conclude in August with the cross-competition Champions Final, where the Super Rugby Women’s champion will face the winner of New Zealand’s Super Rugby Aupiki.
