The ACT Brumbies are proud to unveil their 2026 Indigenous Jersey, a powerful celebration of culture, connection and community that will be worn in the club’s clash against Moana Pasifika on 30 May during National Reconciliation Week.

National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements. The week provides an opportunity to reflect and explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

ACT Brumbies 2026 First Nations jersey

Designed by acclaimed artist Rob Scott, the jersey artwork honours the cultural, geographical and sporting ties that unite the Brumbies with the five nations across Brumbies territory — Ngunnawal, Yuin, Ngarigo, Gundungurra and Wiradjuri.

The artwork tells a story far greater than rugby. From the surrounding mountain ranges to the flowing Murrumbidgee and Molonglo rivers, it speaks to connection and journey across Country. Rich in symbolism, the design incorporates representations of landforms, animal tracks, native flora and ancient Aboriginal trade routes that stretch across the nations connected through Brumbies country. Interwoven throughout the piece are acknowledgements of Indigenous players, alongside symbols representing the diversity and unity of the Brumbies playing group and the wider rugby community.

The artwork has become a visible and meaningful part of the club throughout 2026, already featuring prominently on the Brumbies’ warm-up shirt across the season. For the Indigenous Jersey, the intricate design has been expanded across both the front and back of the playing strip, allowing the full depth and detail of the story to be shared on match day.

The occasion will carry added significance as the Brumbies take the field against Moana Pasifika, a club that proudly represents and celebrates the cultures and peoples of the Pacific Islands. With both teams carrying the stories of their people onto the field, the match promises to be a fitting testament to culture.

In what could potentially be the final meeting between the two sides, the contest shapes as more than just a game of rugby, it will be a celebration played with the passion and pride that both teams embody so strongly.

The ACT Brumbies thank Rob Scott for sharing his artistry and storytelling through this year’s Indigenous design, and proudly look forward to wearing the jersey in front of the Brumbies community later this month.

The 2026 Indigenous Jersey is available to purchase at the Brumbies shop.
