Tom Wright will celebrate his 50th Test cap in gold on Saturday, with the Brumbies fullback leading a six-strong ACT contingent named to face Argentina in Mendoza.
Wallaby number 939 made his Test debut against New Zealand in 2020 and will now line up for his 50th appearance for Australia, bringing up the milestone in the same year he raised the bat for his 100th Brumbies appearance, adding another significant chapter to a stellar career.
The 29-year-old will form a back three with Max Jorgensen and Filipo Daugunu, who starts on the wing for the first time since last year’s Test against Ireland in Dublin.
Wright is one of six Brumbies named in the Wallabies’ matchday 23, with Rob Valetini returning to the starting back row alongside captain Harry Wilson and Fraser McReight.
Western Force playmaker Ben Donaldson has been selected to start at flyhalf in his first appearance in the gold No. 10 jersey since 2024, partnering Ryan Lonergan, who will continue his streak of starting every Test so far this season.
Experienced props Angus Bell and Taniela Tupou are also back in the run-on side, linking with Billy Pollard in the starting front row, while Jeremy Williams and Josh Canham will continue to build on their partnership as the two locks.
There’s also a change in the midfield, with Len Ikitau and Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii to reignite their combination, having started together 16 times in the Wallabies’ last 25 Tests.
Hooker Josh Nasser and props Aidan Ross and Massimo De Lutiis will bring their Queensland connection to the replacement front row.
Their club teammate Lukhan Salakaia-Loto will feature in his second Test of 2026 as the substitute lock, while Charlie Cale will again provide further forward cover at Estadio Malvinas Argentinas.
24-year-old Kalani Thomas has been selected for his second Test as the replacement scrumhalf, with Carter Gordon and Isaac Henry rounding out the matchday 23 in Mendoza.
