Members form the core of any sporting club. Our Round 14 SMARTECH Super Rugby Pacific match against the Reds gives the club a chance to show our gratitude towards the Brumbies’ most loyal supporters.
The match itself could hardly be scripted any better. The visiting Queensland Reds will be desperate for revenge following their Round 7 match-up against the Canberrans up in Brisbane.
Both sides will be stacked with Wallabies hopefuls, who can take a large stride towards that goal by outclassing their opposite numbers on Saturday night. Focus will surely be on the battle of the two half-backs, with Ryan Lonergan and Tate McDermott emerging as two of the form players in the competition.
The performances of the two forward packs will no doubt go a long way in deciding the result. Given the Brumbies pack is littered with former Queenslanders, there is always a little added spice come scrum-time.
WALLAROOS VS USA RUGBY
There’s double the action this Saturday, with the Wallaroos taking on USA Women at 4:55pm. Gates open at 4:30pm, so get in early to catch the second instalment of the Pacific Four Series.
The match features as a curtain raiser for the main game, so Members can enter as per usual with their membership card or ticket redemption.
MEMBER APPRECIATION ROUND
Round 14 of course marks Member Appreciation Round at GIO Stadium. To celebrate, lucky members will be chosen to help with the ball delivery, coin toss, guard of honour and half-time activation, giving them a chance to enter the field of play moments before kick-off.
The corporate entry at GIO Stadium will serve as our member’s entry for the day, follow the signs when you arrive.
MEMBER GIVEAWAYS
As a bonus, the first 200 members to arrive at the Membership box office (located on the east and west side of the venue) will receive an exclusive member giveaway. Simply show your member card or provide your details to receive a prize. Items are limited to 1 per member, and the member must be present to claim the item, so make sure everyone is in tow!
As a further thank you, a member will be upgraded to an eight-seater open box for the best views in the stadium. Additionally, a double pass will upgrade some lucky members to the catered Rugby Lounge, for a premium rugby-viewing experience.
There are also two signed jerseys – one men’s and one women’s – to give away to two lucky members.
Whilst we wish we could select every member; the Brumbies hope that Round 14 serves as a reminder of our appreciation of the Brumbies’ 16th player.
