Brumbies Runners draw with Western Force A

The ACT Brumbies Runners have drawn 31-31 against Western Force A at GIO Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The home side had a tricky start to the match after finding themselves down 10-nil after as many minutes after the Force shot out of the blocks.

Though it would be Harrison Goddard who would steady the ship with the Brumbies with a try a converted try in the 19th minute.

A sweeping play down the left side released winger Nate Carroll to crash in the corner and take the lead for the home side, up 12-10 after 25 minutes.

Scrum half Goddard was in the thick of it again, weaving through the Force defence from 20 metres out to dive over and increase the lead to 19-10 for the Brumbies.

Minutes from the halftime hooter, the Brumbies kicked into gear with a stunning counter play from halfway. Flyhalf Cullen Gray splitting the rushing defence to turn the ball back on the inside for Shane Wilcox to dive off. The Brumbies heading into the sheds 24-10 at the main break.
