Brumbies named amongst Wallaroos squad to take on Fijiana and New Zealand

Seven ACT Brumbies have been named as part of the Wallaroos 30-player squad for upcoming Test matches against Fijiana and New Zealand starting next Saturday at Allianz Stadium on July 6.

Wallaroos coach Jo Yapp finalised her roster at the completion of yesterday's intrasquad match held at Brumbies HQ on Saturday afternoon. The internal trial playing a part of selection process with the side to return to Sydney on Sunday ahead of their clash with Fijiana.

The Brumbies are represented with seven players as uncapped trio Allana Sikimeti, Biola Dawa and Lydia Kavoa continue to push for a Wallaroos debut while Queensland Reds have five in total and Western Force with four.

Wallaroos Head Coach Jo Yapp said: "We’ve had a really good few days at the AIS in Canberra preparing for the next two Test matches.

"The players have taken a noticeable step up over the last few weeks and our intrasquad match on Saturday was a great opportunity to prepare and play at Test match level.

The Wallaroos host Fijiana on Saturday before shifting to Brisbane where they’ll take on the Black Ferns at Ballymore Stadium on Sunday, July 14.
