ACT Brumbies unveil 2026 Anzac jersey at the Australian War Memorial

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them

The ACT Brumbies are proud to unveil the 2026 Anzac Jersey, a powerful tribute to service, sacrifice, and the shared history of Australia and New Zealand.

In this milestone year marking the 110th anniversary of ANZAC Day, the jersey is adorned with the distinctive Rising Sun badge, the unifying emblem of the Australian Army. Traditionally worn on the left-upturned brim of a soldier’s slouch hat, this enduring symbol has long been associated with the ANZAC spirit and the legacy of Australian service personnel.

Rory Scott, David Feliuai and Cadeyrn Neville officially launched the commemorative jersey at the Australian War Memorial Anzac Atrium, one of the Memorial’s newest gallery spaces. Framed by sweeping sandstone walls and standing before a Black Hawk helicopter and an Australian Light Armoured Vehicle, the players paid quiet tribute to the service and history these icons represent.

“Wearing this jersey means a lot to me. I have had family members who have served in the Australian Defence Force, so to be able to represent them and honour their sacrifice when we pull this jersey on is something I am incredibly proud of. It is a special responsibility, and one we do not take lightly as a group,” Scott said.

“Running out in the Anzac jersey is something really special. It is a chance to reflect on the history of the ANZAC tradition and the sacrifices made by those who served. As players, we are proud to carry that story and show our respect in a meaningful way,” Feliuai said.

The 2026 Anzac Jersey will be worn when the ACT Brumbies take on the Hurricanes on Saturday April 25 during Super Round.

ANZAC Day was established to honour members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who served in the Gallipoli campaign, with the first commemorative marches held in 1916. In a significant first for the club, the Brumbies will wear the Anzac Jersey on New Zealand soil when they face the Hurricanes during the 2026 Super Round, competing for the Captain Shout Cup.

Reflecting the deep bond between the two nations, the back of the jersey features an Australian and a New Zealand digger standing side by side, guarding the Ode of Remembrance, a timeless tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The 2026 design completes a trilogy of Anzac jerseys, following Air Force and Navy themed editions in 2024 and 2025. The series is unified through shared symbolic elements, including the tri service colours on the sleeves, dark blue, red and light blue, representing the Navy, Army and Air Force.

At its heart, the jersey features the Brumbies logo intertwined with rosemary, a poignant symbol of remembrance worn close to the heart on ANZAC Day in both Australia and New Zealand. On the back, three poppies, white, red and purple, further deepen the tribute.

  • The white poppy honours those lost in conflict while promoting peace and reflection.
  • The red poppy commemorates those who gave their lives in World War I and subsequent conflicts.
  • The purple poppy recognises the animals that have served and suffered in times of war.

Together, these elements create a jersey that not only tells a story but carries forward a legacy, one of courage, unity and remembrance.

The 2026 Anzac Jersey will be worn when the ACT Brumbies take on the Hurricanes on Saturday April 25 at One NZ Stadium in Christchurch during Super Round.

We will remember them Lest we forget

The jersey is now available in men’s and women’s sizes via the Brumbies online store, and will also be available for purchase at the merchandise store at GIO Stadium on game day.
