Nine Plus500 Brumbies have been selected in Dave Rennie's Wallabies side to take on France this Wednesday at 8.00pm at Suncorp Stadium.

Tuggeranong Vikings trio Lachlan Lonergan, Darcy Swain and Len Ikitau are set to debut off the bench with club mate Noah Lolesio selected in the starting flyhalf role.

James Slipper and Brumbies skipper Allan Alaalatoa earn the starting prop jerseys for Australia's first selection of 2021, with Rob Valetini selected for his first International start at blindside-flanker, after a stellar 2021 season.

Lolesio will have Tom Wright on the right wing and Tom Banks at fullback with him in the backline.

Wallabies supporters have an added incentive to see their team in action for the first time this year, with a with a two-for-one ticket offer available through Ticketek

Wallabies coach Dave Rennie said: “The whole squad has been training really hard over the past three weeks to prepare for what’s going to be an exciting, tough series against the French.”

“We’ve always selected a side based on earning the right to wear the jersey and this team is no different.

“The whole group is excited to be back playing Test Rugby in front of our families and supporters and we’re looking to start the year with a positive result at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday night.”
