The Plus500 Brumbies are delighted to announce GIVIT as our major Charity Partner for 2021.

Working all around the country, GIVIT is a not-for-profit organisation which links trusted support organisations across Australia with individuals and corporate donors who can help make a difference by either providing the item or donating money towards it.

GIVIT and the Brumbies first joined forces last year to help raise funds for the Bushfire Relief Appeal.

As part of this partnership, the Brumbies were able to help raise $50,000 which was used to provide support for those affected by the devastating weather event in the summer of 2020.

The squad was also able to travel to Tumut, Bemboka and Broulee as part of the NSW Bushfires Appeal in association with GIVIT.

One of these visits was to the Bell-Chambers family in Batlow, a Canberra rugby family who were deeply affected by the Bushfire crisis.

GIVIT has coordinated more than 150,000 items to support communities still rebuilding, from gas ovens and converted shipping containers for families camping on their properties, hardware equipment, as well as Snake Bite First Aid Kits for remote towns hours away from medical assistance.

Plus500 Brumbies CEO, Phil Thomson said: “Brumbies Rugby are delighted to officially partner with GIVIT for 2021."

“We saw the impact their organisation was able to have on the ground during the Bushfire Appeal last year and we're really excited to be able to continue our relationship with them to help those in our area and the wider community."

GIVIT’s ACT Engagement Officer, Kristi Clark said: "We simply couldn’t do what we do without the generous support of Plus500 Brumbies."

"From drought, fires, floods and pandemic, communities across Brumbies country have had a tough few years.

"To date, donations from Plus500 Brumbies and their supporters have allowed GIVIT to provide exactly what’s needed by farmers, families and households in need.

"We’re excited to strengthen our partnership and make sure no-one in our community is forgotten."
