The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies have named their 13-player squad for the second round of the ISPS Handa NextGen 7s series at Forshaw Rugby Park in Sylvania Waters, NSW tomorrow, with Super Rugby Women's players Lily Bone and Chioma Enyi drafted in to the side.
The team also features their teammates Bonnie Brewer, Ash Bishop and Ella Ryan, who all featured in the first round in the Sunshine Coast, with wing Biola Dawa rested.
The Brumbies lost their opening two games in Round 1, before showing immense character to come back and beat the Reds in thier third encounter.
Western Force Women’s players, utility back Brooklyn Teki Joyce and fly-half Nicole Ledington, join the team for tomorrow. Both players were invited to play the Brumbies for an opportunity to join the national 7s pathway program.
Paua Lee Going is also rested for this tournament, hile youth player Zoe Quigley sustained an injury in the first round that will sideline sidelining her for the remaining events.
Round 2 kicks off on Sunday, 17th August, with the Brumbies’ first game at 9.30am against the Waratahs, before taking on the Reds at 12.30pm and finishing the day against the Waratahs at 2pm.
