The Brumbies U20’s have made one change to the side that soundly defeated the Western Force for their clash with the Reds U20’s on Sunday afternoon in the final round robin match of the Super U20s Championship.
Vice-Captain Angus Allen returns to the starting side after missing last week’s clash through injury, he replaces Easts flanker Nick Saunders who drops to the bench.
Allen was one of eight players from the Brumbies named in the Australian U20’s Preliminary Squad earlier this week and his return will give a big boost to the side.
Tighthead Prop Angus Wagner was another of the Brumbies who were selected and he helps form an unchanged front row with Charlie Hancock and Sam Thomas.
Captain Darcy Swain and No.8 Brodie Leber joined their team mates picked in the Australian squad, and they both retain their places in the starting XV.
Head Coach Russell Ingram has named an unchanged backline for the clash including Brumbies and Australian U20’s squad member Ryan Lonergan at scrumhalf. Lonergan will partner Liam Moseley in the playmaking positions.
Jackson Duffey, Kuti Tahau and Jamie Kotz form a dangerous back three, whilst Tuggeranong teammates Trai Henderson and Leni Ikitau will partner in the centres, Ikitau was also selected in the Australian U20’s earlier this week.
The Brumbies will be able to call upon a strong bench for this weekend’s clash, with experienced and talented players named in every position.
17-year old Erindale College schoolboy Jack Gilmore is in line for his debut, being selected on the bench.
