Brumbies U20’s Head Coach Russell Ingram has made five changes to the match day squad that was narrowly defeated by the Rebels U20’s last weekend for this weekend’s match with NSW Gen Blue in Wollongong.Three debutants have been named to start the game, with Queanbeyan’s Justin Sikimeti, Wests’ Kuti Tahau and Uni-Norths’ Alec Sheldon all making their competition debuts for the side.
Blindside flanker Sikimeti and Hooker Sam Thomas are the only two changes to the starting pack, with Rob Valetini missing the clash through injury and Tevita Unga-Wolske dropping to the bench.Sikimeti will add another quality lineout jumping option alongside strong lock pairing Will Sankey and captain Darcy Swain. Wests’ duo Angus Allen and Brodie Leber will also retain their spots in the backrow.
Plus500 Brumbies scrumhalf Ryan Lonergan will start the game alongside new halves partner Liam Moseley, the Queanbeyan product impressed off the bench for the side last week.
Trai Henderson and Lenny Ikitau will again form a potent centre combination, whilst speedster Jami Kotz forms a new look back three with Tahau and Sheldon.Queanbeyan prop Ben Gordon, Wests forward Liam Rasch and Easts backrower Nick Saunders could make their U20’s debut’s off the bench.Fred Kahea, Jacob Abel, Josh Wells and Cole Davis round out a strong group of finishers starting the game from the bench.Brumbies U20’s side to face NSW Gen Blue.
