After lacing up her boots for a game of 15’s rugby for the first time in in the season opener of the Super W in 2018, this year Michaela is looking to build on the performance that lead her to receive Brumbies Super W rookie of the year following the inaugural season.

Michaela has a background in representative basketball and played a season of league before making the transition to rugby in 2017, playing for the ACT at 7’s Nationals and representing the University of Canberra in the AON 7’s tournament in both 2017 and 2018. The lock/back rower is tall and strong in stature who has taken to scrummaging and lineouts like a true second rower.

She is a strong ball carrier in to contact and enjoys the opportunity to hit holes. Following the Super W season in 2018 Michaela was named in the Wallaroos PONI squad and awarded a Brumbies Academy scholarship at the ACT academy of sport; a program that identifies up and coming players.  Michaela is always one to do the hard work and is a huge asset to the Brumbies.
