Electric with ball in hand and calm under pressure, Manu’a Moleka has the ability to turn half a chance into a highlight play.
Known for her speed, sharp footwork and silky ball-handling skills, the young outside back has quickly built a reputation as one of the Brumbies’ most exciting rising talents. Born in Kingswood and proudly representing her Samoan heritage, Moleka began her rugby journey with the Blacktown Scorpions at just 12 years old before continuing her development with the ViQueens.
Whether she’s slicing through defensive lines or calmly finishing opportunities out wide, “Nu’a” plays with confidence and composure well beyond her years. Reliable under pressure and dangerous in open space, she became a standout young talent on the radar of national selectors, earning selection in the Wallaroos squad in 2025.
Unfortunately, heartbreak followed shortly after when an ACL injury ruled her out in the lead-up to the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup, delaying what looked set to be her international debut. But despite the setback, Moleka has continued attacking rehab with determination and is now targeting a return to rugby during the 2026 Super Rugby Women’s season with the Brumbies.
Moleka earned Brumbies cap #108 when she debuted in March 2025 against the Western Force in Western Australia and continues balancing rugby alongside her work as a receptionist at Recovery Club. Away from the field, she enjoys going for walks, watching sunsets, reading, K-dramas and occasionally spending an entire rest day in bed.
Inspired by Wallaby Len Ikitau for both his skill and humility, Moleka hopes to one day play rugby in Japan so she can combine rugby with travel and new experiences.
Heading into the 2026 season, Moleka shapes as an exciting returning talent for the Brumbies; skilful, resilient and ready to light up the field once again.
