Strong through contact and fearless with ball in hand, Makenna Ravouvou has become a nightmare for defenders in open space.

The Canberra-born centre with proud Fijian heritage first picked up rugby at 13 while attending Daramalan College and has rapidly emerged as one of the ACT’s most exciting young talents. Playing her club rugby with the Eagles, Ravouvou built a reputation for her powerful carries, explosive footwork and ability to palm defenders away with ease.

Her impact during the 2025 ACT Premier 15s season was impossible to ignore, tearing through defensive lines and scoring an incredible 10 tries in just five matches. Equally dangerous in sevens, Ravouvou starred for the Brumbies in the Next Gen 7s series, where her blend of speed, power and relentless work rate helped earn her a senior Brumbies call-up for the Super Rugby Women’s season.

Whether charging into contact, winning the collision or breaking a game open from nowhere, Makenna brings a physical edge that makes her a marquee weapon in attack. Inspired by her uncle, NRL great Aku Uate, she carries the same determination and humility that made him a household name, hoping to one day make her family just as proud.

Away from rugby, she works in the public service and enjoys window shopping, music and relaxing with Netflix. And while she’s happy to spend a rest day sleeping in, getting a massage and shopping, one dream still sits at the top of the bucket list - seeing Chris Brown perform “Forever” live.

Heading into the 2026 season, Ravouvou shapes as one of the Brumbies’ most exciting young strike weapons; powerful, electric and capable of changing a game in an instant.
