Liam Bowron
Built on Canberra grit and forged in Brumbies blue, Liam Bowron is fast becoming one of the capital’s most uncompromising front-row enforcers with an impact that even the ‘Canberra cold’ can’t cool.
A Marist College graduate and Junior Wallabies representative at the 2023 U20s World Cup, Bowron’s rise accelerated after a standout 2024 season with the Canberra Royals. His form propelled him from the Brumbies Senior Academy into the Brumbies squad, debuting later that year against the Fijian Drua at GIO Stadium in front of a home crowd filled with family, friends and a roaring fan base.
Now firmly established in the 2026 forward pack, the dynamic hooker is a constant threat from close range and a proven finisher off the back of a maul, Bowron’s nose for the try line has become a trademark of his game, playing with the kind of intensity that reflects his Canberra roots - tough, grounded and built for big moments.
Heading into the 2026 season, expect even more impact from Bowron - bigger carries, relentless defence and plenty of trademark maul finishes as the powerful young hooker continues to cement his role as a key figure in the Brumbies’ forward pack.
