Hailing from Maroubra in New South Wales, the Waverley College product Klayton Thorn was picked up by the ACT Brumbies for the Elite Development Squad, following his time with Randwick Juniors. After a starring season with the Gungahlin Eagles in the John I Dent Cup in 2022, he graduated to the Super Rugby squad the same year. In 2023, he made his competition debut against the Western Force.
