Klayton Thorn

Mischievous, sneaky and unpredictable - Klayton Thorn is the spark who can change a game in a heartbeat, whether it’s a last-minute break or a cheeky offload from the opening whistle. 

A Waverley College product and Randwick Juniors graduate, Thorn first earned a spot in the Brumbies’ Elite Development Squad. However, it was his 2022 John I Dent season with the Gungahlin Eagles that inevitably progressed him into the top Brumbies Squad. He debuted in 2023 against the Western Force and has since become the team’s go-to spark of unpredictability.  

Operating at halfback, Thorn combines his audacious flair with razor-sharp vision and clean-cut passes, consistently finding gaps, setting the pace, and keeping the Brumbies one step ahead of every defence.  

Thorn thrives on taking risks others wouldn’t think to, executing audacious plays, slicing through defensive lines, and creating chaos in all the right ways- all with a sly grin and bold confidence that’s unmistakably his own. 

Heading into the 2026 season, Thorn is set to bring even more excitement and flair to the Brumbies’ backline, turning every game into a showcase of cunning, vision, and pure unpredictability.
