Keia Mae Sagapolu Sanele
Keia Mae Sagapolu Sanele is an American recruit for the ACT Brumbies who has represented her country and is eyeing selection at the 2025 Rugby World Cup.
Originally from California, Sagapolu Sanele played her first rugby game at the age of 18.
She attended Central Washington University, where she played on the rugby team as part of Women’s D1 Elite, while earning her degree in communications with a double minor in digital marketing and family science.
She achieved Collegiate All-American Honors in 2022 and 2023, and was selected for the USA U23 team in the same years, Captaining the team during the Americas Rugby Trophy in Brazil.
Sagapolu made her Test match debut in 2023 against Spain in Madrid. That same year, she would be awarded college rugby’s highest honor, as the MA Sorensen Award winner.
