Solid, enduring, built to last, and down to earth — that’s James Slipper. The cornerstone of modern rugby, Slips only gets better with age."
Raised on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Slipper’s talent was clear from an early age. He earned his first cap for the Reds in 2010 (yes, that long ago), and that same year, he made his Wallabies debut against England at just 21. He won a Premiership with the Reds in 2011 and was named Player of the Year in both 2013 and 2014. By 2015, he had been appointed Reds captain and played in the Rugby World Cup final against New Zealand.
Renowned for his consistency and durability, Slipper’s career spans generations, making him one of the most respected players in the history of the game. He moved to the Brumbies in 2019, helping make our scrum as solid as a rock. In 2024, he broke the Australian Test cap record in the Bledisloe Cup at Accor Stadium, and heading into the 2026 season, he is on track to break the Super Rugby appearance record.
Heading into the 2026 season, Slipper remains unmovable, combining raw power, technical mastery, and leadership that makes him the bedrock of the Brumbies pack. Like a fortress forged over time, he stands strong, dependable, and unshakeable.
