This time last season few, if any, Super Rugby fans would have been aware of the existence of flanker Jahrome Brown but, such has been his meteoric rise to the top, that the New Zealand-born backrower is now no stranger to the professional game, and everything associated with it.
Signed as injury cover, Brown was so good in training that Head Coach Dan McKellar had no hesitation in handing him his debut against the Reds in Brisbane where, from the bench, Brown claimed a first Super Rugby try with his first touch of the ball.
He barely let up from that point on, showing his ability to make big metres with the ball in hand and happy to put his body on the line, making 99 tackles in his 581 minutes of match play.
A product of Hamilton Boy’s High School, Brown will be eager to continue where he left off last term and is sure to play a vital role in the Brumbies 2020 season.
