Heart of a leader and work rate that never switches off! Easter Savelio brings energy and purpose to everything she does.
Born in Apia, Samoa, Savelio proudly represents her Samoan heritage every day, carrying that pride into both rugby and life off the field. A former rugby league and basketball player, she didn’t take up rugby union until 16, but quickly developed into a hardworking and dependable second rower known for her physicality, effort and character.
Playing her club rugby with the Eagles, Savelio has become respected not just for what she produces on the field, but for the standards she sets around the group. Whether it’s the unseen work in tight exchanges or her relentless engine across the park, she approaches every challenge with determination and consistency.
Alongside rugby, Savelio teaches within kindergarten whilst studying Early Childhood, balancing the demands of elite sport with a career focused on supporting and developing young people. Family and friends remain central to her life away from the game, with most of her downtime spent recovering, sleeping and recharging with the people closest to her.
An international representative for Manusina Samoa (the Samoan women’s national side), Savelio is inspired by figures like her coach, Filoi Eneliko, and teammate, Merania Paraone, for their dedication to growing women’s rugby and paving the way for future generations. One dream still high on her bucket list is taking her mum to Santorini; her mother’s dream destination.
Heading into the 2026 season, Savelio continues to shape as a driven and selfless force in the Brumbies forward pack; hard-working, passionate and committed to lifting those around her both on and off the field.
