David Feliuai

A new addition to the Brumbies in the off-season from the Melbourne Rebels, David Feliuai is a talented, all-round specialist centre with an amazing back-story. He was born in Auckland but grew up in Brisbane, Queensland, representing Sunnybank in his youth. After serving a two-year Mormon missionary stint in Fiji straight out of school, Feliuai returned to Australia in 2019 to take part in an International NFL player combine in the Gold Coast. After failing to impress, he then signed a three-year contract to Romania in the same year to play for Baia Mare in the Liga De Rugby Kaufland, going on to earn the nickname “the Romanian Rumbler.” Romania were desperate for Feliuai to play for their national team, but he only had his eyes on the green and gold of Australia and so he returned home in 2022 to sign with the Melbourne Rebels. After a stellar two seasons at the Rebels, he impressed Wallabies head coach Joe Schmidt so much that he earned his first call-up at the end of last season.
