Like the gum trees that surround Brumbies HQ, Neville is tall and steady, anchoring the pack with experience, power, and an unshakable presence in every contest.

Born and raised in Dee Why, New South Wales, Neville attended Manly Selective Campus and cut his teeth as an elite rower in the AIS program, representing Australia at the Youth Olympics. He didn’t try rugby union until 2009, playing his first game for the Manly Marlins Rugby Union Football Club, but quickly made up for lost time with a meteoric rise.

The towering lock earned Shute Shield’s “Biggest Improver” award in 2011 before making his Super Rugby debut with the Melbourne Rebels in 2012. He later played for the Queensland Reds, spent three seasons in Japan with the Toyota Industries Shuttles, and returned to Australia to join the Brumbies, earning his first Wallabies cap against England in 2022.

Heading into the 2026 season, Neville brings experience, power, and a commanding presence in the lineout. The seasoned veteran once again anchors the Brumbies’ forward pack, combining technical nous and raw physicality to set the tone in the tight exchanges.
