The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies have unveiled their sides to open their respective Super Rugby U16s & U19s campaigns against the Western Force on Sunday the 29th of September at Viking Park.

With U16s kicking off at 12:05pm and U19s to follow at 2:05pm, both sides will be seeking a win to open their season in front of home crowd faithful in the nations Capital.

The U19s will be looking to defend their 2023 title with a largely new crop of players, fronted by Australian Under 20s representative Shane Wilcox as captain.

Boasting strong numbers from Canberra's competitions, five of six premier grade clubs in the ACT will feature representation in the side in the opening round.

U19s Head Coach Daniel Hooper said: "the group have trained really well and have taken plenty of lessons from our hit out at Capital Cup two weeks ago."

"We are eager to take the field and put our training to the test against what will be a quality Western Force side. Hopefully the community gets around the side as we look to make the most of our home games at Viking Park in Round 1 and 2."

Meanwhile the U16s side will be lead out onto Viking Park through Daramalan College product and Round 1 captain BJ Pumpa.

Showing plenty of promise in preparations this week, the match will be coach Sean Debenham's first chance to see his side in action since a recent trial match against the Waratahs in Sydney.
