The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies are excited to announce the extension of tighthead prop Sosefo Kautai until the end of 2025.

Making his club debut in 2021 against the Western Force days after arriving in Canberra, the tighthead prop has cemented his position amongst his peers. Representing the Brumbies in his fourth season, Kautai has gone on to play an integral part of the ACT forward pack.

Since making the move to Canberra from New Zealand, the former Junior All Back and Ex-Chiefs representative has enjoyed his time in the Capital.

“Canberra has treated me as one of their own and I really enjoy the community and the people here,” said Kautai.

“I’m really happy to extend my time with the Brumbies.”

“I'm grateful for the club's trust in me and am excited to continue my time with my fellow teammates.”

Brumbies head coach, Stephen Larkham said: “It is great to keep Sefo on board together with our recent re-signings announced this past fortnight.”

“Sefo has become a reliable player for our squad and will play a part in onboarding our young players coming through the academy."

“From the day he joined, he has always felt comfortable at the Brumbies and it is great that he will continue his journey here in Canberra.”

The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies will host a Super Rugby Double Header this Friday night, March 22 at GIO Stadium.

The Brumbies Super Rugby Women’s side take on the Melbourne Rebels in Round 2, kicking off at 5:05PM AEDT. Whilst the Super Rugby Pacific clash with Moana Pasifka kicks off at 7:35PM AEDT.

Gates open at 4:55PM AEDT, with tickets on sale here.
