Anzac Weekend Round comes to a block-buster finale in the Nation’s capital as the ACT Brumbies host the Hurricanes at GIO Stadium.

Fittingly, the match will mark the inaugural presentation of the Captain Shout Cup – named after Captain Alfred Shout, who served both the Australian and New Zealand military with distinction.

The Brumbies are flying heading into the match, having defeated the Highlanders, Reds, and Moana Pasifika in their last three matches. The side’s defence was questioned early in the season, but they have responded in emphatic fashion, capped off by a 24-0 victory in New Zealand last week.

The Hurricanes currently sit outside the top 6 but remain within striking distance. They will be desperate to turn their fortunes around here in Canberra. Last year’s fixture proved an instant classic, something set to be replicated in season 2025.
