The Brumbies’ growing impact on the Wallaroos program will be on full display in Auckland, with five Brumbies selected for Australia’s historic 100th Test against New Zealand on Saturday, August 22.
Following one of the Brumbies’ strongest Swyftx Super Rugby Women’s campaigns in recent years, Lily Bone, Martha Fua, Faitala Moleka, Tania Naden and Siokapesi Palu Sekona have all earned selection in the Wallaroos squad.
Their selection is fitting recognition for a Brumbies side that took a significant step forward during the 2026 Super W season and marked a clear progression for the Brumbies women’s program.
There will also be a familiar face in the coaches box, with Brumbies Men’s Senior Assistant Coach Ben Mowen joining the Wallaroos coaching staff for the New Zealand Test.

Australia Sevens star Maddison Levi is also in line for a possible Wallaroos debut after being included in the Test squad for the upcoming 100th international against New Zealand in Auckland.
Levi is one of four uncapped players named in a new-look Wallaroos squad that also features NSW Waratahs player of the year Amelia Whitaker, Queensland Reds captain Jemma Bemrose and Western Force forward Pia Tapsell.
Levi, the all-time leading try-scorer for Australia in the Sevens format, could link up with teammates Tia Hinds, Alysia Lefau-Fakaosilea and Bienne Terita in XVs for the first time in Auckland before preparing for the Ultimate Sevens in September.
The 24-year-old is one of 10 players to join the squad for the first time in 2026 while 20 players return following the Pacific Four series in April.
The youngest-ever Wallaroos debutant, Caitlyn Halse, is back in gold after a successful injury return through Swyftx Super Rugby Women’s this season.
NSW Waratahs forward Leilani Nathan and Western Force pair Hera-Barb Malcolm Heke and Allana Sikimeti have also earned Test recalls after making their debuts for the Wallaroos previously.
Wallaroos players Faliki Pohiva, Adiana Talakai, Georgina Friedrichs, Tabua Tuinakauvadra, Ella Ryan and Brooklyn Teki Joyce headline a list of players unavailable for selection through injury.

The Wallaroos will travel to Auckland on Thursday in preparation for the 100th Test match in their 32-year history.
Rugby Australia confirmed the coaching set-up for the remainder of the season on Tuesday with Walsh joining Mike Ruthven, Reg Tayler, Ben Mowen and Duncan Chubb for the New Zealand Test.
Sione Fukofuka will commence the Wallaroos Head Coach role in 2027.
