The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies and the ACT & SNSW Griffins have submitted their team lists ahead of the first Challenge Cup match this Sunday the 29th of September at Viking Park, 4:15pm.

With both sides looking to secure an early win in the two-game series, respective coaches Stephen Larkham and Frank Condi have each named powerful sides to square off this weekend.

With Condi leading the best from clubland, the coach says his side show plenty of promise have been preparing well for their clash against the Brumbies.

"The Griffins squad is a great bunch of boys, they're very switched on and there has been good buy-in to what we're trying to achieve," said Condi.

When asked to pinpoint a key player for his side, Condi admitted he was spoilt for choice, however fullback Clay Uyen has evidently given the coach plenty to look forward to on Sunday.

"We have a backline that's full of energy but Clay Uyen will be key, he's extremely versatile with solid running angles, great position play and he is a clear communicator from the back."

"We're under no illusions however, we will be coming up against a strong Brumbies team, when you come up against the Rory's and the Reimer's of the club it will always be tough. I've got no doubt they'll be well drilled and offer a good set-piece in the big moments."
