The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies captain, Ryan Lonergan has been ruled out of this Saturday evening's encounter with the NSW Waratahs at GIO Stadium.

Lonergan has been given more recovery time for a pre-existing ankle injury. Harrison Goddard who was originally named on the interchange, will now start in his place. With Klayton Thorn promoted to the bench for this weekend's derby.

Brumbies lock Darcy Swain will lead the team for the second time in his career in Lonergan's absence. The forward first captaining the side in the club's 60-21 win over Moana Pasifika in Round 5 of the Super Rugby Pacific Competition.

ACT will face the Waratahs at 7:35PM AEDT this Saturday night at GIO Stadium. Whilst the Super Rugby Womens side take on the Fijian Drua in Round 4, kicking off at 5:05PM AEDT before hand.

Both sides enjoyed wins against the Queensland Reds last weekend in Brisbane and look forward to a tough contest.

Don’t miss any of the action, with tickets starting from $15 for a junior and $25 for an adult.
