The ACT Brumbies will officially launch their 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season with a combined Season Launch and Fan Day at GIO Stadium on Sunday, 1 February, giving supporters an opportunity to rub shoulders with their teams ahead of Round One.
The free, family-friendly event, presented by official membership partner Allhomes, kicks off at 4pm in the GIO Stadium precinct. Fans can meet players from both the men’s and women’s 2026 squads, grab autographs and photos, take part in rugby skills challenges, and enjoy the Sunny Homes Family Zone with inflatables, a magician, face painting, giveaways, Brumby Jack appearances, and a fire truck display. They can also browse Brumbies merchandise, sample food and drinks from GIO Stadium, BentSpoke, and a Jacko’s Pizza van, and connect with local rugby clubs, sponsors, and charities.
Brumbies Head Coach Stephen Larkham said the launch was an important moment to reconnect with the club’s passionate supporter base ahead of the new campaign.
“This is always one of our favourite days of the year because it’s our first chance to properly connect with our members and fans before the season begins,” Larkham said.
“The players are deep into pre-season and the excitement is building. We’re looking forward to a great day and giving supporters a taste of what’s to come in 2026.”
The Season Launch will begin at 5.30pm on the field, officially kicking off the 2026 season on the hallowed turf of GIO Stadium. Members and fans are welcome to stay and watch the season launch from the grandstand.
Brumbies players Allan Alaalatoa and Chioma Enyi said the playing group was eager to feel the energy of the Brumbies faithful as the season approaches.
“We draw so much motivation from our fans, and it means a lot to see them turn up year after year,” Alaalatoa said.
“Getting to meet our fans in person is special, and you can really feel the love for Brumbies Rugby here in Canberra,” Enyi said.
Brumbies General Manager Gavin Hunt said the Season Launch is a key moment in the club’s calendar.
“Our fans are the heartbeat of this club, and this day is about celebrating them,” Hunt said.
“We want to create a welcoming environment for long-time members and new supporters alike and give everyone a chance to share in the excitement of the Brumbies.”
The event will conclude at 7pm, with free parking available in both the West and AIS car parks at GIO Stadium.
The Brumbies open their 2026 Swyftx Super Rugby Pacific season against the Western Force in Perth on Saturday, 14 February.
