This year’s ANZAC weekend in Canberra will provide an exciting opportunity for footy fans, with the Raiders and Brumbies allowing fans to attend both matches scheduled at GIO Stadium for the price of just one ticket.

Starting from just $20, Raiders and Brumbies fans can attend the Brumbies v Hurricanes on Saturday (April 26) and the Raiders v Dolphins on Sunday (April 27).

It’s the perfect way for people either staying in Canberra or people visiting interstate to come into the nation’s capital and be part of one of the biggest weekends on the calendar.

Raiders CEO Don Furner said the timeslots for both fixtures allow people to take part in Canberra’s traditional ANZAC weekend commemorations and attend two huge matches at GIO Stadium.

“Canberra has always been synonymous with ANZAC Day and people who are in Canberra for the long weekend can take part in things like the dawn service at the War Memorial or other special events across the weekend, and then come along to two great football matches,” Furner said.

“The ANZAC weekend fixture is something our club always enjoys hosting and I know we put a lot of effort into the game day to make sure we celebrate and commemorate those who have served and continue to serve.”

“This ticket offer gives people the opportunity to attend both the Raiders on the Sunday afternoon, but also the Brumbies on Saturday night at one great price.” Brumbies CEO Phil Thomson said the value for money and quality of both matches would hopefully see big crowds at both fixtures to watch the games and be part of a special weekend.

“We’re delighted to be able to partner with the Raiders on this ANZAC weekend deal. To be able to witness two top-class sporting fixtures in Canberra from just $20 a ticket is terrific value,” Thomson said.

“Our ANZAC weekend round fixture against the Hurricanes has become a staple of the Super Rugby Pacific calendar, with sides from the capitals of Australia and New Zealand taking each other on. The powerful bond between our two countries is celebrated through the sport of rugby.

“Alongside the Raiders, across both matchdays, we’ll ensure supporters commemorate and pay tribute to the men and women who have served, and those who continue to serve.”

Tickets are available now through www.ticketek.com.au starting from just $20, with family tickets for $80.
