An Australian U16s squad has been selected following a successful five-round Super Rugby Men’s U16 tournament that saw matches played in Canberra, Brisbane and Perth.

Amongst the squad are Brumbies juniors fullback Cameron Kirsten, centre Denzel Veikune and scrumhalf Liam Collett.

Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies General Manager – Professional Rugby & Pathways Chris Thomson said: “Congratulations to Cameron, Denzel and Liam on their selection in the national squad.

“The U16’s is the earliest entry point for players within the ACT Brumbies pathway and it is extremely important that we are developing homegrown talent into future Brumbies.

“The player's selection reflects their efforts and performances as well as the Club’s enhanced focus on our junior representative teams and alignment through our pathways.

“The Brumbies are proud of the players inclusion in the squad and are excited for the exposure and experience they will encounter as part of the Australian U16 program.”

This 25-player squad will go into camp at the Australian Institute of Sport on the 8 December, playing a game against the Pasifika All Stars at the AIS Rugby Field on 12 December at 1:35pm AEDT.
