The draw for the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific competition has been revealed, with the Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies beginning their campaign against the Western Force in Perth.

The Brumbies will then travel to Christchurch to face last year’s winners the Crusaders in Round 2, while taking on the Blues and the Chiefs at GIO Stadium for the first time since 2022 and 2023 respectively.

Our home clash with our biggest rivals the Waratahs, who we have beaten 14 times in the last 15 encounters, is slated for Friday 27 March in Round 7.

General Manager of Business Operations Gavin Hunt was delighted with the offering available for fans at GIO Stadium next year, with seven thrilling matches in Canberra.

“The draw brings a huge amount of anticipation for 2026, with seven fantastic home matches at GIO Stadium,” Hunt said.

“We hope to welcome our loyal Brumbies members and supporters back through the gates in each of our games. After a 12% increase in crowd figures during the regular season this year, we’re encouraging fans to come out in force again in 2026.

“It’s a really exciting draw that sees us play the Blues and the Chiefs at home for the first time in several years. However, the Waratahs fixture in Round 7 will be the one that players and staff at the organisation circle in the diary.”

Following the opening two fixtures away from home, the Brumbies will return to the nation’s capital to take on the Blues and the Reds. The Brumbies beat the former 21-20 last season for their first victory at Eden Park since 2013.

We will then travel to Fiji in Round 5 to face the Drua in Ba at 4R Electrical Govind Park, after becoming the first Australian Super Rugby franchise to win on Fijian soil this year with a 36-32 victory in Suva. Following this, the Brumbies will return to Canberra to take on the Chiefs and the Waratahs in what is set to be a mouthwatering start to the competition.

Further home games will take place against the Fijian Drua (Round 10), the Western Force (Round 13) and Moana Pasifika (Round 16), meaning the Brumbies will have seven blockbuster games at home.

We will face the other Australian Super Rugby franchises twice in 2026, while also playing the Drua on two occasions.
