The Brumby Gai Waterhouse dreams of taming and rumoured to be a direct descendant of Phar Lap, Brumby Jack is said to be the wildest of the Australian Conference mascots.
Born in the highest hills of the Namadgi National Park, Brumby Jack is believed to have travelled widely from a young age and has studied under the tutelage of Paul Mercurio.
He settled back in his home state of the ACT in 1996 where he found his calling and made his life long dream a reality.
This human-named equine has led the pack with his sideline dance moves and unpredictable antics that give even the most seasoned mascot reason to pause.
Suffering a minor set back in pre-season training late last year with a suspected torn hepta from an over-zealous rendition of the Macarena, Brumby Jack overcame the hurdle and made a fast recovery, employing what the team has come to know and love as his unrelenting drive to find that elusive dance move.
