Doug Stuart Board Member Brumbies

Doug Stuart is an Australian executive and entrepreneur in the cyber security, cloud computing and critical infrastructure industries. He has extensive experience building technology companies, capabilities and quality assurance programs, teams and services.

 

Doug is a co-founder and currently the Chief Operating Officer at Instaclustr, a leading Australian high-tech company providing global data management solutions. He is also a member of the advisory committee of the Australian government’s Cooperative Research Centres Program, an Australian government grant and funding program aimed at supporting collaboration between industry and research institutions.

 

Doug is currently a member of the Canberra Innovation Network Advisory Committee and an active investor in a number of Australian technology startups. Prior to Instaclustr, Doug was a co-founder of Stratsec, a cyber security consulting, testing and research firm, which was acquired by BAE Systems in 2011.

Stratsec was awarded Telstra Business of the Year in 2010. Doug has also been recognised as a leading entrepreneur in the industry through the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Program in 2010. Doug has extensive experience in developing new capabilities and enterprises, establishing new businesses and teams within the United States, Australia and Asia.

 

Doug has worked on strategic investment programmes creating global delivery centres in both Malaysia and Singapore. Doug has been a strategic advisor and consultant to Australian and international government agencies developing information security programmes and related cybersecurity initiatives.

 

Doug has delivered major cyber capability initiatives for the Defence and national security sector on cyber strategy, identity and access management, business continuity and national information assurance strategies.
