Experienced prop forward James Slipper makes the move to the Brumbies from Queensland in a bid to rediscover the kind of form that led him to be a regular in the Wallabies ranks. A sparkling NRC with Queensland Country reiterated what many already knew, that Slipper is a fine exponent of the scrum and is deadly in the loose, with the ability to carry the ball into contact and to cause havoc in opposition back-lines. Since making his Super Rugby debut for the Reds back in 2010 against the Waratahs, the same year he first pulled on the Gold Australian jersey against England in Perth, Slipper has emerged as one of the best front rowers in World Rugby and will be a welcome addition to Brumbies ranks. He managed nine Super Rugby appearances in 2018 and will be determined to increase that game time in 2019 and add to his century-plus of appearances at that level.
