Darcy Swain

  • 22 Age
  • 108kg Weight
  • 200cm Height

A Super Rugby debut represented a successful season for Darcy Swain in 2018, but the Brisbane Boys’ College product will be hoping for more game-time in Brumbies colours in 2019. The Brumbies have a plethora of classy-locks in their stables and, while Sam Carter’s career is in its latter stages, Rory Arnold is in his prime, as is Blake Enever, Swain is seen as the next generation.

He is someone who can lead the Brumbies into the future. Lead being the operative word. Despite his age, Swain has already found his voice in the Brumbies squad, respectful of his place as a youngster, but not afraid to speak his mind when the time comes.

It’s something which has been evident in Swain’s career to date. Whether it was leading the Brumbies U20 squad in 2017, or his role in Tuggeranong Vikings John I Dent Cup Premiership last season, Swain has excelled on and off the pitch, earning the respect of peers and mentors alike.
