A tricky winger, with an eye for the try line, Andy Muirhead has grown as a player every year since joining the Brumbies halfway through the 2017 season.
The Queensland-product, who is equally capable at fullback, was famously brought into the squad when still working a day job, playing locally for Canberra Royals.
Muirhead made his Super Rugby debut in South Africa against the Southern Kings and followed that up a week later scoring two crucial tries off the bench in a brilliant Brumbies victory against the Jaguares in Argentina.
Since then, Muirhead has established himself as a valuable member of Dan McKellar’s squad. Last season, Muirhead’s opportunities were limited at times, with options across the back three meaning competition for places was fierce.
However, Muirhead was still able to be a key contributor in the Brumbies season, coming in whenever required and adding pace and punch to the Brumbies attack.
His flair and fearlessness will be crucial for the Brumbies chances in 2020.
