Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies skipper Allan Alaalatoa will captain the Wallabies in their first test match of The Rugby Championship against South Africa this Saturday, kicking off at 2:30PM AEST.

He will combine with hooker Matt Faessler and 24-year-old Isaac Kailea in the front row.

Brumbies lock Nick Frost will pair with Lukhan Salakaia-Loto in the second row, with Rob Valetini named in the backrow.

Noah Lolesio returns to the starting line-up, linking up with Brumbies team mates Len Ikitau and Tom Wright in the backline.

Brumbies’ Luke Reimer is in line for a potential Test off, with the accomplished James Slipper providing some experience off the interchange bench.

Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt said: “There’s a mix of continuity and freshness in the squad and the players have worked with good enthusiasm during the week, but we know there’s still plenty to work on.”

“We’re conscious of the size of the challenge and the size of our opponents but there’s a keenness in the player group to take a step forward.”

Watch all the action on Stan Sport with every Wallabies Test streaming ad-free, live and on demand with Wallabies at home in 4K UHD. Wallabies matches will also be shown live on the Nine Network.
