The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies have made two changes to the under-16s squad to face the Victorian under-16s team on Saturday at La Trobe University Sports Park in Melbourne (1pm kick-off).

SIRU representative Oscar Dossetor moves into the starting lineup at tighthead prop, with St. Edmund’s College back Siliva Mataupu pulling on the fullback jersey.

Oliver Henderson, who played at fullback in last week’s 29-19 loss to the Western Force, is moved to the fly-half position for this week’s encounter.

The Brumbies were pipped in the final minutes of a trial against Rugby Victoria last month. Head coach Paul Mead believes being whichever side takes their chances will emerge victorious, while he is also looking forward to Henderson trying his hand at fly-half.

"Oliver is a natural 10. He's quick on his feet, he's got a good catch pass. He's just got to develop in that leadership role on that team, and we're hoping to see that this weekend.” Mead said.

“In the trial, it was a fairly even contest. It’s about taking your opportunities early and getting momentum, and I think whichever team does that first will probably run away with the game."

Geoff Olivetti and Levi Park accompany Dossetor in the front row. Cooper Leslie retains the captain’s armband and is joined by Zavier D’Arcy in the second row.  Jack Maguire, William Bullock and Paddy Hill all keep their positions in the backrow to round out the forwards.

Marist back Jono Harrington partners with Henderson in the halves with Jesse Thorp and Laine Jud-Brettingham maintaining their partnership in the centres.

Cayden Cross, who featured in the Super Rugby under-16s Round 3 team of the week following his try against the Force, starts on the left–wing, William Hall again on the right and Mataupu completing the starting XV at fullback.

In the reserves Elliott Brown (St. Edmunds), Sam Filipovic (Marist), Leighton Luteru (Daramalan), Michael Parisotto (SIRU) and Huntah-max Robinson (Canberra Grammar) are named as cover for the forward positions.

SIRU’s Oscar Brady is scrum-half replacement, along with Kaleb Matthews (St. Edmunds) and Charlie Ravouvou (Daramalan) rounding out the matchday 23.
