To our valued members,
I wanted to take the time to send a note of thanks to you all for your continued support and patience as we welcome your Brumbies back to GIO Stadium this weekend as part of the Super Rugby AU competition.
It is pleasing to see the Brumbies sitting top of the Super Rugby AU ladder after 4 rounds, reclaiming the position we held in the Australian Conference when the Super Rugby season was postponed in mid-March.
Pleasingly, we were able to welcome a number of our loyal members back to GIO Stadium against the Rebels, via a ballot process to meet the Government restrictions at the time. This Saturday night against the Reds the same Government restrictions are in place and we look forward to having a maximum of 1,500 at GIO Stadium to support the team.
With the current crowd restrictions we are aware that the majority of our members are unable to access their regular seating and with limited crowds numbers some have unfortunately been unable to attend as yet. We thank you for your patience with this process and we understand your frustrations. Our membership team will continue to work with you all to try and ensure a fair outcome, so that as many of our members as possible can attend the remaining matches.
The Brumbies management are in regular discussions with the ACT Government, the ACT Chief Health Officer, GIO Stadium and Venues Canberra to ensure that we comply with Government Health advice. We are hoping that the seating capacity at GIO Stadium for our last two regular season rounds on the 22nd and 28th of August will be able to be increased in order for us to deliver as much value to our members as is possible. We will provide members with an update in relation to crowd numbers for those matches closer to the dates.
As always feel free to contact the membership team at any time via firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 1300 228 278.
Again, on behalf of myself, the players and the entire Brumbies organisation, I want to thank you all for your unwavering support of the team during these difficult times.
Please continue to stay well and we look forward to seeing you at GIO Stadium.
