Dear Members and Supporters,

After a week of such uncertainty for the entire community, what a performance the team put in for the win against the Waratahs last Sunday afternoon.

As always, our team made us proud.

We now know that the Super Rugby season has been suspended for the time being and that things will be different when it hopefully resumes in the coming weeks.

It will be different for our players. It will be different for our staff. And it will be different for you.

As has been reported, guidelines set by the Australian and ACT Governments have banned mass gatherings of more than 500 people in outdoor environments to help limit the risk of COVID-19 (coronavirus) spreading.

We know this virus will continue to change the way we go about our lives in the short term, meaning that when the season resumes our games will be played in front of an empty stadium in the short term and potentially for the remainder of the season.

The reality is the situation we are faced with is changing daily, sometimes hourly.

There has been an enormous amount of time and energy from Brumbies staff to best prepare our Club for what lies ahead.

We began making changes over recent weeks, putting in place measures to protect the health and wellbeing of our players and staff.

Senior Management have spent this week reviewing these measures and planning for the various scenarios that might play out in the coming weeks and months ahead.

We continue to take advice and direction from SANZAAR, Rugby Australia, the Government and health experts and will be doing all we can to give our members and fans the opportunity to watch your team.

Whatever the outcome, we wish nothing but good health for all Brumbies members, fans, the wider community and especially those most vulnerable to the current situation.

There is no doubt that challenging times lie ahead for the Brumbies.

We have faced difficult times before, and with the continued support of our members and the community we will come out the other side of these challenges.

Having read your comments on the many social media platforms over the last week or so, we are proud of the way you have responded to these changes and appreciate your support and patience while we work through this unprecedented situation.

We know you will have questions to ask and we are giving you the opportunity to send these questions through to have answered this week as the team continues to train for a hopeful resumption in the competition in the weeks ahead.

There may be some questions we cannot answer but we will do our best, so please email your questions through to membership@brumbies.com.au.

We will be back in touch once we have confirmation of what is happening with a potential resumption of the season and what this will mean for our members. We appreciate your patience whilst we continue to work through this situation.

In the meantime, look after one another.

Go Brumbies!
