Ainsley Scrivener will start for the Brumbies for the first time having been named at outside centre for the side's final Super W game of the regular season against the Queensland Reds at GIO Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Scrivener has been impressive as a finisher for the Brumbies in 2020 and will form a new-look centre combination with goal kicking sharp shooter Sammie Wood.

In the forwards, Peta Cox, Harriet Elleman and Louise Burrows start in an unchanged front row while co-captain Michaela Leonard and Emily Sogal are the two locks.

In the backrow, Rebecca Smyth is fit to return to openside flanker with Emma Masi moving to the other side of the scrum. Zali Waihape-Andrews wears no. 8 having played at six and in the second row this season.

Out wide, teenage star Ella Ryan continues to guide the Brumbies attack from flyhalf, partnering Leonard's co-captain Jane Garraway in the halves.

Darcy Read once again occupies the left wing, while Talei Qalo Wilson reverts to a more familiar position on the other edge, that switch bringing the versatile Claudia Obst into fullback.

Tania Afamasaga, Niki Patterson and Iris Verebalavu are the front-row replacements with Grace Sullivan and Pearl Rakete being the other forward finishers.

Phoebe Loughhead, Pesi Palu and potential debutant, Alyssa Pau are the match-winners out wide in reserve for the Brumbies, completing the side.

Brumbies Super W coach Adam Butt said: "The side can't wait to get back out at GIO Stadium on Sunday afternoon, we were hurting after our last performance but have had the bye week to work on a few things and are looking to put our improvements out on the field this weekend."

"This is our chance to cement a spot in the finals and build some real confidence and combinations heading into the business end of the season."

"Ainsley has been really effective for us as a finisher so far this season and has earned her starting spot in the side and we can't wait to see her perform well on Sunday."
