Junior Wallabies coach Jason Gilmore has selected ten Plus500 Brumbies Academy players as part of his first squad of 2020.

Lachlan Albert, Tom Haddad, Tom Hooper, Zane Marolt, Callum McDonald, Billy Pollard, Luke Reimer, Rory Scott, Zeph Tuinona and Dennis Waight will join the best young talent across the country in Canberra for the week-long camp.

Albert, Hooper, Pollard and Tuinona join the squad after featuring in the 2019 Australian Schools & U18s, who went undefeated in their tour of New Zealand last year.

Meanwhile, young playmaker Reesjan Pasitoa who was also part of that group and is eligible for the Junior Wallabies, will continue to train with the Vodafone Super Rugby squad ahead of Round One on January 31.

Brumbies Academy Head Coach Dan Hooper said the selections were recognition of the talent coming through at the club.

"To have ten guys in the first Junior Wallabies squad of the year is a great strike rate for us and shows the talent we having coming through at the Brumbies," Hooper said.

"It's good recognition for the guys that have been selected and being involved in these sort of camps are opportunities for more development which is great for our boys.

"Quite a few of the guys are actually under-19 and some really good kids that are under-18, so for those guys it's especially exciting looking ahead.

"Then there's a guy like Reesjan who just turned 18 and is likely to come into the mix later on throughout the year depending on his Super Rugby commitments.

The squad will be based at the Australian Institute of Sport.
