Plus500 Brumbies Undertake City Visits

by Brumbies Media

The Plus500 Brumbies are out and about in the City this week as they undertake their annual visits to clubs to participate in coaching clinics for junior players.

Fifteen Brumbies will be at Tuggeranong Vikings, Easts, Wests and Gungahlin Eagles to help the next generation of rugby stars with a  few tips of the trade.

Mack Hansen and Tom Ross, Eagles first grade stars, will be joined by centre Irae Simone and Len Ikitau at Eagles training tomorrow, Tuesday 13 August from 5pm, as the City visits kick-off. Wednesday will see two groups of players attending training sessions, Darcy Swain, Ryan Lonergan and Lachlan Lonergan at Gowrie Oval.

Venue for Tuggeranong Vikings junior sessions whilst at Curtain Oval, home of Easts, Blake Enever, Toni Pulu, Pete Samu and Bayley Kuenzle will join in the action.

On Thursday it’s the turn of Wests to welcome some of the Brumbies Super Rugby stars as Tom Wright, Robbie Valetini, Ben Hyne and Toni Pulu make the trip to Curtin Playing Fields from 5pm.

“The annual City visits are an important part of our partnership with our community rugby clubs,” Brumbies Deputy CEO & General Manager Community Rugby, Craig Leseberg commented.

“The clubs love having the players at their training sessions and the kids really enjoy learning off the Super Rugby players. It gives us at the Brumbies a chance to connect with the Community, which is an important facet of who we are as a rugby club.”
